That's what Elodie says every morning when I drop her at her new bilingual pre-school... And if everything goes as planned, she will soon be able to pronounce it in Mandarin!

Songs are written in Complex characters (HK, Taiwan) and not in simplified characters (mainland China).

After investigation, it seems that most teachers in Elodie's school come from Taiwan.
This means that Elodie will speak Mandarin with a Taiwanese accent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwanese_Mandarin
In a couple years, she will start learning traditional Chinese characters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_chinese) and not the simplified ones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simplified_Chinese_characters)
