PL on TV !!!

Pierre-Louis is a big star, he appeared on French TV today!
He was a contestant on a quiz show on France 2: Tout le monde veut prendre sa place, hosted by Nagui.

He did very well ! he defeated all the other challengers by knowing that Igor Stravinsky was the composer of "Le Sacre du Printemps"

In the final, Pierre-Louis answered all 5 questions correctly and scored an amazing 28 points (out of 30).

Unfortunately the defending champion also scored 28 points, and kept his title. Pierre-Louis was inches away from winning the 2800 euros jackpot, oh no !

The Princess and the Woodpecker

This could have been the title of the fairy tale that I read to Etienne before bedtime, but it's not!

Stephanie's nickname for Elodie is "Princess", and tonight she dressed her as a... princess!



I found another (unrelated) picture in my camera tonight: the woodpecker (in French: pivert) that Etienne and I spotted in our front yard's dead tree last weekend. No need to go to the zoo!

Floor plan

Stephanie couldn't help but draw the floor plan of our new house on her computer. I think it looks awesome! The house is 1,610 sf or 150 m2.
Stephanie remembered that its floor plan is very similar to one of the house in which we met for the first time... It was at a party in Sunnyvale on Friday, June 23rd 2000 (my half-birthday ;-)

Done Deal!

Today we've officially joined the 57% of Californians and the 70% of Americans who own their home!
We closed escrow, the sale was registered by the county and our mortgage kicked in !
Funny how "escroc" in French means "crook" and "mort" means "death".
I really hope that the seller is not a crook and that we won't have to pay back our loan until our death!!!
